Great restaurants are not built on one exceptional meal. They are built on delivering an enjoyable experience over and over again, and that is exactly what Ferrando’s Italian Pizzeria has accomplished.
Since 1989, Ferrando’s has been serving the Aiken community with fresh Italian food, gracious hospitality, and a welcoming atmosphere for families, couples, friends, and coworkers.
Whether we are meeting someone for lunch, enjoying a relaxed date night, or bringing the kids for dinner, Ferrando’s is a restaurant we feel confident choosing. Its dependable food, professional service, exceptional cleanliness, and reasonable prices have helped make it a well-respected local favorite. Consistency is what turns a good restaurant into a trusted local favorite.
Ferrando’s continues to deliver the kind of dependable food, gracious service, cleanliness, and comfort that make families feel confident returning.
We have visited Ferrando’s many times, and what continues to impress us is not one unusually good experience. It is the consistency.
The food tastes fresh, the restaurant is well maintained, the staff is welcoming, and the experience is reliably enjoyable. We know what to expect when we walk through the door, and Ferrando’s continues to deliver it.
That consistency is especially valuable for families. Choosing where to eat is much easier when you already know that the restaurant will be comfortable, the service will be attentive, and there will be something on the menu for everyone.
The staff is one of the biggest reasons we continue returning.
During our visits, employees have consistently been respectful, prompt, friendly, alert, humble, gracious, and hospitable. The service feels sincere rather than overly rehearsed, and both adults and children are treated kindly.
It is also clear that Ferrando’s is professionally managed with the kind of clear standards that support both people and service. Employees work together with a visible sense of ownership, the dining room remains orderly, and the entire experience feels organized without ever feeling impersonal.
One thing that has impressed us over the years is how promptly the food arrives. Even though everything tastes fresh and prepared to order, the kitchen is remarkably efficient.
We have never felt that flavor, freshness, or quality was sacrificed simply to get meals to the table faster. Ferrando’s has found an excellent balance between preparing food properly and respecting its guests’ time.
Ferrando’s is one of the cleanest restaurants we regularly visit in Aiken.
The tables are consistently spotless, the menus are clean, and the dining room is well maintained. The spacious foyer creates a welcoming first impression, while the seating area feels comfortable rather than cramped.
Sports may be playing on the televisions, but the sound is kept low enough that it does not interfere with conversation. Ferrando’s does not have the loud or distracting atmosphere of a sports restaurant. Instead, it feels relaxed, calm, and suitable for many different occasions.
Parking is also plentiful and convenient, which makes arriving with children or meeting a group much easier.
One of the things we appreciate most about Ferrando’s is its versatility.
It works just as well for a quick lunch as it does for a casual date night or a full family dinner. The atmosphere is welcoming to children without feeling designed exclusively for families, so adults can still enjoy an unhurried conversation and a relaxing meal.
Ferrando’s is also a comfortable option for friends meeting over lunch or coworkers looking for a dependable local restaurant. It is simply the kind of place that fits almost any occasion.
Ferrando’s offers a very good kids’ menu with familiar choices that make ordering easier for younger diners. Combined with the patient staff, spacious dining room, and reasonable prices, it is an especially convenient restaurant for families eating out in Aiken.
The Ferrando’s menu offers something for nearly everyone, from a simple plate of pasta to a full family pizza night.
The salads at Ferrando’s are consistently fresh, crisp, and generously prepared. They include croutons, pepperoni slices, cheese, crackers, and additional toppings that make them feel like a meaningful part of the meal rather than an afterthought.
The ranch dressing is especially good. Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes are also available at the table, allowing guests to add as much or as little seasoning as they prefer. Readers who especially enjoy fresh, customizable salads may also like our review of The Southern Salad in Augusta.

When we want something simple, spaghetti with marinara sauce is one of our favorite choices. The pasta is cooked properly every time, and the marinara is flavorful without being excessively heavy.
An order of warm garlic bread makes it a satisfying classic Italian meal. The garlic bread does not automatically come with every salad, but it pairs especially well with pasta or can be ordered as an addition to the meal.
Ferrando’s pizza by the slice is not limited to one or two predetermined varieties. Guests can choose from the available ingredients and customize a slice with the toppings they actually want.
That flexibility makes it an excellent lunch option, especially when each person at the table wants something different. It is also convenient when someone wants pizza without ordering an entire pie.
Although we enjoy the convenience of ordering individual slices, full pizzas are what we usually choose when we are planning a family pizza night.
The crust, sauce, cheese, and toppings are consistently well balanced, and the variety makes it easy to order something the entire family will enjoy.
If we had to recommend one item that has impressed us most, it would be the calzones.
The dough tastes exceptionally fresh, and the fillings have a satisfying balance of fresh ingredients, cheese, and richness. The calzone is large enough to be a complete meal, but it is not oversized simply for presentation.
That matters because extremely large calzones can sometimes arrive with cold or undercooked cheese in the center. We have never experienced that at Ferrando’s. Every calzone we have ordered has been hot, evenly cooked, and full of flavor from the crust to the center.
The size feels intentional: generous and satisfying without sacrificing the quality of the finished dish. They are genuinely among the best calzones we have eaten anywhere.
Ferrando’s offers generous portions, fresh ingredients, and very reasonable prices. The meals feel satisfying without being excessive, and the quality remains consistent whether we order a simple lunch, individual pizza slices, pasta, calzones, or a full pizza for the family.
That balance of quality and value is another reason Ferrando’s works so well for families. It is possible to enjoy a complete meal in a comfortable restaurant without feeling that the experience has been unnecessarily expensive.
Ferrando’s also offers a loyalty program for regular customers. For families and local diners who return often, it adds another practical benefit to an already reasonably priced dining experience.
